We have plans to paint our main living room this summer. And by paint, I mean hire someone to paint. I have never done this before. I am an excellent painter, I swear it could be a part time job! However, the ceilings are very high and there is a stairway involved, so I think it is best to leave it to a professional. And, it just so happens that our next door neighbor is a painter! Lucky us, huh? We plan to paint the walls and ceiling. We are also going to paint the upstairs and downstairs hallways, but I will do those myself. So, I am constantly looking at paint colors that I like. I know I want something “greige”. I want a somewhat light color, but definitely not white. It has to be dark enough to hide dirt (because we live with the three little pigs), but I want a light and airy feel to the room. The dining room and kitchen are a tad on the dark side so I don’t want the same for the living room because I am afraid it will feel like a cave in here. You can see my living room as it currently is by clicking here.
So, I scoured the internet and found some gorgeous paint colors that are along the lines of what I have in mind. I think these rooms are all so pretty, and all have very similar paint colors, but are not decorated the same. I think these colors are so neutral that you can pair pretty much anything with them. I am going to add very few comments in here, so just enjoy the beauty! The color is listed above each picture, and there is a link to the original source below.
